I’m going to let you in on a secret. I am not a summer person. In fact, it is my least favourite season of all. I know, I know. It’s supposed to be the one we all love. But I find myself much more drawn to autumn’s cosiness, or spring’s optimism, even winter with it’s fires, and blankets and endless dark evenings for knitting is preferable. Part of it comes from the struggle that hot days cause with controlling my chronic pain and fatigue condition, I prefer the balanced days of autumn and spring.
This year however, I have found myself enjoying summer more. Perhaps it is that my life has finally slowed down, I am working for myself doing what I love after years of hoping it might happen one day. And for that I have many of you to thank. I just want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all my paid subscribers who make every day running my own content creation and writing business possible. You guys have made such a difference.

We’re having quite a lot of hot days, a lot of the fields have begun to be harvested, the colour palette is quickly changing from green and lush, to soft and golden. But there are a few things left this summer that I am hoping to do before we move into my favourite season of all. I thought I’d share my slow and simple plans for the next few weeks in the hope it might give you some idea’s of your own.
